I have an updated supercard lite 1.84 firmware...

I know that it used to work on older firmwares v0.6 Image Viewer, but the current version 1.0 and 0.6 dont work anymore... I have no idea why.

It loads the thumbnail from the .ipk well enough, its just that when you load the actual pictures, it freezes... on both of them...

stable 1.0 doesnt say much but the 0.6 has this

FreeMem=1866752
Cluster=0x0000951
Sector=0x0012b2e0
Test: direct disk reading.
Test: direct disk writing.
canwrite.
load '/imageview/cover.b15'
open [/komas.ipk]
extmem:unknown cartridge type.
Unknown body format. (2)

Anyone know how to get this working on their Supercard Slot2's? (i'm using Lite)

Try renaming the dldi.scp file on your card so it doesn't automatically get DLDI patched, then manually patch with whatever you used in the past.

sigh... yeah. i already tried those... which is why when 1.0 didnt work, i tried 0.6 ....

so i tried it again to confirm - it still doesnt work... maybe it was broken under the new supercard firmware updates? i remember it working before

I dunno man, I use Comic Book DS myself so I don't really know if this happens on my device as well.  Sorry I can't help out more.

haha. yeah. I tried that yesterday - thankfully it works and i'm surprised at how much it has changed since version 1... where you boot it up in 32 megabyte .nds's heh...

but why is it that the author stopped the development for ComicBook DS- or rather it was MUCH harder to find since the link to the page was removed? copyright infringement?

I'm not entirely sure.  A few days after posting the latest version, his website said something to the effect of "I must shut down the website soon." with no further details.  It went down for a while, then came back up without any CBDS content at all.  The "wifi" feature of CBDS now just shows an error message.  It might had to do with the fact that the website hosted pre-made comic book files people uploaded, but again I'm not really sure.

EDIT:  just checked, and I found that I saved copies of a few of the pages back when it was still up, if anyone's interested in seeing them.
