Moving on from Supercard CF to R4 ok?

My ancient Supercard CF started giving me trouble - probably to do with contacts as blowing made it work - but last time I tried updating the firmware (1.83 to 1.85) it bricked my Supercard. The DS itself works fine with original games, but the Supercard gives me blank screens no matter what.

Anyway, I'm ready to buy an R4 or Supercard One or whatever. Obviously, I need a Slot 1 solution because the contatcs in Solt 2 might be on their last legs.

Question - I flashed me DS a long, long time ago to get rid of Passkey. Will this cause some sort of compatibility problems with R4? Thanks!

There are no compatibility problems with R4DS and FlashMe.

There's a software for Slot-1 cards available to recover Slot-2 Supercard Firmware.

It should work perfectly, but I think you may want to reconsider your choice of flashcart...

r4s are getting old now theres better choices now..............

supercard sdhc with triple loader = scdsone, ttmenu & ysmenu
acekard2 with triple loader = acekard, osmenu & ysmenu

Indeed, the R4 is out of date by this point.  Back to your question, the only time it will make a difference is if you have both the R4 and a slot-2 homebrew device in the DS at the same time, in which case FlashMe will boot slot-2 by default.  Regular GBA games or other slot-2 cartridges won't cause this issue.

im sure that was fixed with the latest flasme

He was asking about his current FlashMe installation, which is probably not the latest one.
