This new SuperCard Lite patcher speeds up the SuperCard Lite with DS games but do you think anyone can get it to work with the SD/miniSD versions? I mean I know saving would be out of the question but perhaps someone could makea fix for this later. I don't think the new SC Lite is much different then the old one so maybe someone could test it out? It would be great if we could see huge improvements in DS games!

Devil_Spawn

want to see if it makes normal sd supercards run faster

I realy wanted the new patcher to work with the old sd version so I could just stick in my micro and play the games off that and on my supercard lite but I guess Ill just have to have supercard lite load fast and supercard sd load into the ram unless I can rename the file somehow

Anyone wan to give it a try? The SuperCard Lite patcher on the SuperCard miniSD/SD? Saving won't work but we can always fix that later!

Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't understand why you don't do it yourself if you are so curious.  The link to the patcher is readily available.

I tried it and it doesnt work well at least animal crossing doesnt work.  when it loaded it went past the number it was suppose to load and never stopped but never tired slow load

The SuperCard Lite is made up of basically the same SuperCard miniSD/SD internals other then the microSD. There has to be something special they are doing to run games this fast on regular media. I wish I knew coding and programing so I could figure out whats what as I think they aren't adding the extra speed to the other products so they sell the Lite version.

I don't think that, I think there's something slightly different with the SC to mem card interface... physically. Otherwise the Sc-Lite could use the normal patching software and have no save problems.

Well, if someone knew how to look at that stuff I think it would be something to look into. As microSD is no way different from SD/miniSD in terms of standards.

I think the fact that, most (if not all) homebrews that access the SD cards directly doesn't work, and also the old patcher failed to save, as pointed out by meangreenie, is proof enough that either the SC Lite itself AND/OR the interface to microSD is different enough to make it possibly physically faster than what you and I already have.

Also, microSD started off as being "TransFlash" by SanDisk, therefore I don't think it was ever intended to be a direct miniaturisation of SD or miniSD. They just happen to share the common name "SD" after TransFlash was taken in by the SDA.

Well I tried playing the patched Castlevania on my old mini-sd and got white screened...so I guess more proof that it dont worky.
Intersting to see how this pans out now, will they be releasing two patcher programs everytime the patcher needs to be updated now?
