How do you save gba games with the sc lite? And does it use the ingame saves?

you can do a real time save, this is kind of like a snap shot save anywhere and anytime, by pressing R+L+SELECT+B and you also load your save like this. to do and in game save, first save through the game and then back up the save by pressing R+L+SELECT+A, this is a regular a save and its important you follow this process if not you'll lose your progress.

Hi,

Ok can anyone confirm that when you save in a ds game where the save actually saves to?
Does it save to the supercard itself or does it automatically save to the SD card?
Or do you have to manually trnasfer from the supercard to the SD card?

DS games saves direct to the SD/CF card. TO the user it is exactly as if the commercial cart is loaded. When you run a clean rom through the patcher software, it creates a companion save file that you copy to the SD card along with the patched rom. The SC just writes updates to that save file as you go. Backing up your save is just a matter of hooking the SD back up to the PC and making a copy of the save file.

GBA saving requires the keystrokes.

I tried GBA once and didn't like it ... is it necessary for some weird file to show in in my main menu, complete with chinese characters in it, every time I make a GBA instant save? AM I doing something wrong? I got the same thing when using the built-in pocketnes ... I savedstate in Galaga. The next time I turned on the DS, #1 in my menu is "Gilaga#!~chinesechinesechinese~." WTF?

this is the one thing I really don't understand about the Supercard. I love it for NDS, and now I'm really in love with NESDS that saves direct to the SD card, whether its instant save or SRAM save. Why can't the SC do that with GBA?
