Sorry I know I saw this posted somewhere but cannot find it (an am heading off to work). On the sc lite the card is not spring loaded, is that correct? For those with the sclite does the card stay in nicely? or are there any issues with it

Correct, it is NOT spring loaded but the microsd card fits very well. No issues at all.

just about ready to order sclite and i couldn't remember if the card seemed loose like it was falling out or not. It's hard to remember with so much of the new sclite, cracked case, firmware issue. But I am mostly interested in playing wifi with my daughter.

I have two SC Lites. In the first one, the microSD seemed just a tad bit loose (but not loose enough to fall out), so I just tightened the two screws on the back of the SC Lite since they were a bit loose and now the microSD fits very well. On the second SC Lite, the screws were already on tight so it was a good fit for the microSD off the bat.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

I have heard that some people slip in a piece of paper to make sure its tight. It shouldn't fall out though as its in there pretty well.

fifthe1element, that is what I had read about the piece of paper. I am just debating to buy a sclite or a minisd as it is mostly for ds games (and moonshell) while playing games with the kid. It seems like quite a longshot to wait around for the dslink, (money not the issue, more of fitting my needs).

I guess you could put paper in there, but mine hasn't given me any problems. I would go for the SC Lite for cosmetic reasons haha.

The SuperCard Lite is a big improvement over the previous versions as it plays DS games better. The memory bandwidth is just faster allowing for lag free gameplay no matter how fast your memory.

Someone had mentioned putting in a small piece of paper the same size as the microSD just to make sure its tight in place but I don't see why you would have to do this unless you are really paraniod.
