Can you Flash old DS model with SCLite & SuperPass2?

I only have a SuperCard Lite and SuperPass2, also a GBA MP and 2 DS's (1x old DS and 1x new DS Lite).

I have flashed the new DS Lite using the SuperPass2 & SuperCard Lite combination so this works fine & I know how to do it.

I now want to flash the old DS with my SuperCard Lite & SuperPass2 combination or other way:

I have taken the SuperCard Lite apart and it does fit into the old DS slot you just have to push it down & be carefull etc, the MicroSD card also needs to be secured!  The old DS boots and detects the GBA Save Game (used for accessing the SuperPass2 device), the SRAM is installed and I quickly turn the DS off then plug in the SuperPass2 & DS Cart but all I get are 2 white screens (as though the old DS doesn't like the SuperPass2).  I thought the new SuperPass2 is backwards compatible?

So either the SuperCard Lite hardware is not fully supported or the SuperPass2 isn't supported in the old DS?  Or I'm doing something wrong??

All I want to do is give my old GBA MP (CF version) to a friend with their old DS, but need the old DS to have the flashmeV7.nds Firmware installed.  The GBA MP works fine on the flashed DS Lite & plays DS games fine.

I currently can't get WiFiMe working so this is not an option either.

Any ideas anyone?

It would be cool if you could send the Firmware from 1 DS to the other via a DS Link type of thingy!

Yes, if your SC Lite could fit correctly into your phat DS then it would work with Superpass2.  You should try flashing your phat DS with your GBA MP and Superpass2.  I know this will work, but I haven't done it myself so I can't help much.  Search the forums.  What version firmware does your phat DS have?  Did you program your Superpass2?

In between me posting and you replying I have managed to Flash the DS Phat  :D

I just kept trying and finally got the Flashme program running, the contacts must just have been slightly off most of the time as some times I would get the SuperCard menu but select the Flashme & then get White Screens etc, and it was a bit of a gamble when I actually got the Flashme program to run as I kept shaking while flashing!  Anyway 100 percent & works with the GBA MP.

In the end it was down to powering off, powering back on then plugging in/unplugging the SuperPass2 device in slightly different ways - before power-off/power-on, after power-on up, just after the Nintendo bootscreen appeared.  Anyway I can't remember the exact process that worked but just kept trying.

So possibly the GBA MP would also work with the SuperPass 2 but don't know unless I try it with a different DS.

Thanks

So you took the guts of the SCLite and placed it in the GBA PHat port?
I cant imagine how frustrating that was
You should have taken the guts of the phat and pluged it in the SCLite (Since theres no plastic stoping it?)
Ah oh well
Congrats :D
