I currently have an R4 DS, but I want to be able to play GBA ROMs.  What type of product do I need, and what do you guys recommend?

theres no need to buy a seperate slot-2 flashcart, just buy the ez4 3 in 1 for your ds and you can load gba roms off your slot-1 card as well as use it as extra ram for the ds browser or as a rumble pak

Whoever recommends the 3in1 should also say that you can have only one GBA game at this card.
You can't switch easily between different games.
Additionally you need free space for GBA games at your Slot-1 memory card.

So if you want to switch between many GBA games, get a M3 Perfect Lite.

or if you cant afford the high prices of the M3 Perfect Lite get an ez-flash4 lite deluxe which is supported by the gbaloader so you can still load gba roms from your slot1 if you want to or you can load nds & gba from the ez-flash menu itself

ezflash III dev kits and cards are pretty cheap now and can fit 20 - 30 games on it depending on rom sizes 

Still have 2 of these for the kids the work great still after a couple of years

I use the CycloDS/EZ 3-in-1 combo. Easy as pie. Pop the gba files on the cyclo and run

As long as your games are 16 MB or less, you can easily load them to RAM to play the game like the M3 Perfect does, which is quick to do.  It's only 32 MB games that must be written to NOR, which takes a long time to replace.
