Now THAT sounds interesting.  Gonna test this when I get the chance.

EDIT:  according to several users at http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=160120 the menu is definitely faster now.  Friggin awesome.

3819 shouldn't frezze at the save slect screen

I can confirm it is faster now. Bout as fast as the acekard 2i now! One annoying thing is that the bottom bar that displays the the date and time covers up half the name of the last rom on the list.

you can hide the time & date panel in the globel.ini
look for this & change the 0 to a 1

Nice thanks! I looked but couldnt find this, is there a way to make it automatically go to the roms being listed in a row (top to bottom) with the large icons? I always have to manualy switch to that from the one where the icons are all over the screen (left to right).

yeah there two ways of doing it....

1. pick big icos from the drop down menu in options & then in others pick save menu option

2. edit the globel.ini again look for this line
change the 3 to 2

;0|1|2
;0 no ico
;1 small ico
;2 big ico
;pda ico
DisplayModality=2

I tried using the save option in the menu but it never stuck, so I just edited the global.ini file to make the change permanent.

it really is faster....
but it just looks like they just edited the globel.ini & set the rominfo window off as default but you can get it back up by pressing X

Alright thanks. I just can't believe that the SC team hasn't done anything about that cheat engine. I hate copying 2000 files to my memory card and I really don't wanna just pick the files I own and delete the rest. That was the one main thing I hated about the SC OS

I just bought a DSONEi for a friend and the one thing that was tempting me to go with an AK2i was actually the menu speed.

In fact, really, after applying ZEP the menu speed is the ONLY thing I disliked about the DSone. If I can get my hands on a DS I'll be doing development on the card for the next month or so.
