Tried upgrading to Flashme V5 using new 1.53 firmware FAILED!!!! Anyone has the same problem?? OR it is just MY LUCK!!! :cry:
Just want to warn to everyone who is trying to upgrade to flashme5 using the new firmware.

I just Bricked My brother's NDS!!!!  Well it started when I tried to upgrade his flashme from V4 to V5 after I have Upgrade his SC to new firmware 1.53. And the flashme went straight to 100% success without shorting the SL1. So I thought it went ok and I tried playing Mario Kart. It starts ok and when I restart the NDS. THE SCREEN SUDDENLY WENT BLANK!!!  Only then I knew that this is because of Mario Kart and flashme V4!!

So I tried using Dudu.exe and PoTaToE advises( THANKS TO YOU BOTH I RECOVERED MY BROTHER NDS!!)

I have to downgrade his SC to 1.52 to upgrade flashme V5 ( ANYONE out there had the same problem with flashing flashme with the new firmware??) Then I can successfully flash to V5. The Best way to recover it, WAS PUT ONLY flashme.nds file in the SD card.

I'm glad I can recover it. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU GUYS FOR GIVING GREAT ADVISES!!!

EDIT:  SORRY IF YOU WERE CONFUSED!!!! The NDS BRICKED  was because of the mario kart overwriting the FW flashme V4. AND THIS was because when upgrading from flashmev4 to V5 using the new firmware 1.53 FAILED!! It just went straight to 100% without the need to bridge the SL1. (ANYONE CAN CONFIRMED THIS) OR THIS IS JUST MINE!!
TO BE SAFE, USE FW 1.52 TO Upgrade flashme.

if wansent needed Short SL1  you didint used the version 5 of flashme!!!

to upgrade from 1,2,3,4 to 5 you need short your SL1 again...

it the % runs whithout SL1 bright .. it is not version 5 !!!!

aqnd you can still unbrick if you not shorted SL1.. the safe boot must be intact!

Ps: and you can alleways use Wifime to flash your DS!

Hi, anybody confirmed this? because I'll get and NDS soon and I plan on flashing and I don't want to screw it up.
In case it's true, what's the best way to downgrade a SC?

V5 does need SL1 bridged or it wont start... try to use the flashme failsave mode to recover it :S

repeating.. if you run the flashme and you didnt need short SL1 ... this is not flashme version 5...

thats why his DS was briked!

there are 5 versiond of flashme

1, 2 , 3 and 4  get briked if you play mario kart or any wifi conection enabled game..
