Having kind of an odd problem, I just got my superpass, went through and flashed it from 1.44 to 1.53 (incrental from 1.44 - 1.5 - 1.52 - 1.53), now the problem is I can patch and load gba games and patch ds games however ds games down't show up in the list so I can't try to run them, if I try and revert to 1.52 it shows the ds games but the 3 or 4 that I tried just give one white screen.  I tried formating the card a few times patching different roms (using last two patcher versions), don't know if I'm missing some thing simple or what, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

DS is flashed with V5, I've tested it with my old EZflash 1 and that seems to be working so the ds should be fine...

So if you power on your DS holding down ABXY nothing appears in the menu?

Sounds like you're letting it boot in GBA mode.

Do like ratx says, and hold A+B+X+Y while it's booting to force it to boot from the GBA slot in DS mode. (That's a FlashMe hotkey. The other two I know of are: hold 'Select' to skip checking the GBA slot for PASS or DSbooter and hold A+B+Select+Start to kick in the recovery code.)
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

i had the same problem, till the nice man at cheapmod.net put me right, it's not obvious to a noob (like myself), nowhere in any instructions does it say "you have to hold down ABXY while turning your ds on", but anyway that sorted it out for me. :) .
ilver DS (12/05)
Flashme V7
Supercard SD
1Gb Toshiba SD Card
WiFi through SWAMR-54108

Yes... actually at the flashme page it says quite plainly that you have to hold down ABXY ^_^

Or you could boot using passme, either way DS roms do not show up unless you are in DS mode.
