The 1st place that I would check is Firewall settings.

Disable them (only temporarily) on your network connection and test it again.  Make sure you disable them on your network connection and if you have a software firewall (like Nortons Interner Security)

I had a similiar issue but thast when the software and drivers where not installed correctly, i uninstalled them turned off firewalls(stupid gamespy hosting) and reisntalled the drivers, some symantec corp antivirus can causse same issue which my friend had he had to turn it off before it would work
