New moonshell here

http://mdxonline.dyndns.org/archives/2006/01/moonshell_ver_0_19.html

It now supports the DPG format. Cant wait to get some movies on there :)

Edit: Oh and this guy:

http://forum.gbadev.org/viewtopic.php?t=6560&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=825

says mp3s and ogg files play better

gingi

Awsome, does it support supercard cf and sd?

joey

OMG!!!!!!, joey???? why are you here????????!!!!!!??????? this is a supercard forum not m3, i hope that you have gotten your  card already, but i don't want you to mess up this forum like you did in gbatmw and in gbatemp  . please think before you write.
am The Best and you Know it!!!

Trueman

I tried to compile it, arm7 works but on arm9 i get an error and it stops, any ideas?

Linus

urm need a bit more detail about the errors, i was getting some strange messages when i was compiling it using the make_*.bat files but i think thats a problem ive got with my make installation, or its cos im a noob.

Anyway this version doesnt support supercard SD version

"[ The GBA Movie Player ] [ it is CF exclusive use of the M3 perfect Adapter ]. Once being to be able to use the GBFS/EXFS, you can use also the flash cart, but it has not tested excessively. The SuperCard is non- correspondence."

-translated from website

Edit: i tried to apply the patch for the 0.6 version but i think im doing it wrong, its still trying to load MPCF which is never good. I hope dont have to recompile the source or anything cos i still havent got that to work.

monk456l

hmm... the new moonshell works for me, i have a CF supercard and .dpg files work and nothing hangs, anyone else who has a CF supercard should try this one out: http://gcat.1l.com/gdrive/moonshell.nds

Linus

Sorry ill edit my post, it works with CF because moonshell uses chishms fat driver which supports SCCF but not SD (though by the sounds of it cory is doing some great work on this).

Dudu.exe

if you are having any trouble with Moonshell try to apend the ndsloader.bin.. worked great for me!

Cyprien Walker

every thing works here but only one problem is the movie sound its not that loud and the sound only comeing from the left speaker is its on full volume in moonshell but if the sound is on 87% in moonshell the sound is normal that the only problem i have .

Linus

Are you using the new DPG format cos if you click more settings on the dpgenc you can boost the volume and probably fiddle the mono settings.

Cyprien Walker

right well ok its not a realy big deal but i hope in the future thay will add mulitasking like listen to music wile reading a ebook (txt file) ive got a few but when iam reading and turn off the ds and want to read again i neet to scroll alot befor i know were i am so a save function wont be bad :P for the text viewer.

more i dont neet :D i think......

eddi

And what the SD users must do to run moonshell ???  :(
Is this only a CF version ????
When somebody find a SD version please tell it to me !!!

Thank you !

eddi

SuperCard SD + Superpass + 512mb Kingston SD Card

Linus

hehe the volume bug has been fixed

http://mdxonline.dyndns.org/archives/2006/01/moonshell_ver_0_20.html

this guy works fast eh. Im still trying to get the SD version to work by following the instructions here

http://www.scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1656

its a long shot but i thought id give it a shot anyway, i havent had much luck so far it boots but into MPCF. ive got sidetracked trying to fix my devkitpro installation.

Edit: Fixed devkitpro but now im having the same problems as Trueman i can get arm7 done ok but the arm9 stuff goes crazy. It starts at the plugin dir with clibmpg and just cant find anything i think something may be going wrong with the makefile

deathrabbit

I got it compiled and working on supercard SD :)

I am still testing though.
