Nyutan

I use the CF version cause i believe the CF Cards are cheaper.

I use SD because I didn't want the CF card sticking out of the cart. That's good for quickly changing the contents, but not for travelling.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Nyutan

It's good for anything i do really. even for travel if i take my laptop. Hehe.

what a load of crap. the sd supercard itself sticks out a mile. the cf card is much better looking, and i remove it and put it into a compartment in my case when taking it anywhere. CF is much cheaper too... and the carts both operate at exactly the same speed. CF wins I'm afraid.

I have to disagree
I have a CF version but I only have it because I already had a bunch of CF cards and no SD cards.
it's true CF cards are cheaper.
but the SD version is better.
It's not glued together so if a simple resister burns out you can replace it or something.
the SD card does NOT stick out.
if you drop your ds from only 5 cm you can snap your CF card and destroy your supercard. (You'll rip the CF connector off the pcb or something like that, the forces are passed directly to the connector, not good. :P) also the SD connector is superior, it won't wear out so much as just a lot of pins sticking up and if it breaks you can just drop a drop of solder on it and you got yourself conductivity again.
so with the sd version you can use it while sitting by putting it on your lap.
if you have a CF version you're passing the entire weight of the ds on your CF card, cf card connection, supercards pcb and the superglue that holds the thing together.
I know which one I prefer. (and which I own :( )

I don't know. The CF verserion does seem to stick out MUCH more than the SD version, at leaset the CF part. I can pack my DS in a standard carring case with the SC SD in it and only have a small bulge on the case.

Really once you have loaded it up with what you want you probably not want to swap it out as it will contain almost everything you need.

agreed, and you can NOT put an cf version in a carrying case without removing the cf card which exposes the flimsy plastic which could snap...
I prefer the M3's case even if it sticks out a lot, I have an M2 so I know.
It doesn't bother me a lot.

What are you talking about? :?  First of all its used as a CF and second of all supercard can only support CF type I so it wont work, you would need some kind of adaptor to use on SD.

Everything IS possible, if u look good.
I can even gues that 512cf would be about 20-25% more expensive.
Thats why SD are a lot better.
Besides, SCSD looks better and is nicly done, with good plastic used.
In CF the main problem is that CFcard sticks out of SC.
Have a nice day.  :D

Deadmon

I use CF, because of the price and the fact I had a 1 GB CF card lying around...

I just take the CF card out, put my DS in my case, it it works fine.
