L.D.

I am trying to flash my ds.
Problem is that when I have to turn the ds of (after I loaded IQSRAM.GBA )een insert the superpasskey2 en hold abxy and turning the ds on again I am to slow I think.

Can I put the Superpasskey2 in the ds when I see the screen SDRAM loaded? I mean before I turn the ds off?

Because when I am playing a game and I load the gba file I can already put the superpasskey2 in and then shut it of and turn it on.
Maybe I could do the same when I have loaded the IQSRAM.GBA file?

Hope I explained it right  :D

Koji

Yes, that should work fine since when you boot into GBA mode, the DS slot isn't even on anymore (to conserve power since it isn't loading anything from there)

L.D.

Ah great thanks.

I got 2 firmwares but wich one is the latest th one from this page: http://www.monroeworld.com/ds/hacking/update.php

or the one from this page: http://ds.gcdev.com/dsfirmware/

L.D.

Thanks. I will try it. Hope I will be fast enough :)

L.D.

darn I just can't get it to work. I turn the ds off an on wil pressing abyx in less than 2 sec but both screens stay white after the healt screen.
Do I need another IQSRAM?
I use Polarium usa. I don;t have the Metroid Prime demo.

Could that be the problem?

L.D.

Yup got a superpasskey 2.
It is already programed with Polarium.

Am I that slow? So load the IQSRAM then put in the Superpaskey2, turn ds off, press abxy and turn ds on again and wait for the sc screen.
Pff never thought I was that slow  :D

EDIT: Must the switch on the superpasskey2 must it be up or down? Or doesn't that matter?

L.D.

I keep trying and I know for sure that I am fast enough. Takes me about 2 sec maybe even less to turn it off and on. But iI keep getting 2 white screens after the healt screen.

I don't think you have to press ABXY using a passme.
Anyway, maybe your Passke y is not programmed for the correct polarium, because you are doing everything correct.

But if I programed it wrong then I could not have been playing games.
I can play games now with the Superpass.
I played Castlevania, Animal Crossing, project rub ect.

Or am I wrong?

karurosu

now I am confussed.
You say you can play games from the supercard?, it that's so, then I don't see your problems. If you mean play original games, but not from the supercard, then the problem is that your Passme is not correctly flashed (or not for the correct game)

Let me explain.

I got a Pink NDS with a yellow screen, Supercard CF, Superpasskey2.

I can play GBA roms and NDS roms using the the supercard. Original and backup games (roms like Yoshi Touch and Go etc).

I programmed my superpasskey2 with Polarium usa. I can play GBA roms and NDS roms.
Played Animal Crossing (rom version) today and it works great.

I want to flash my ds with the supeacrd cf and the superpasskey2.
Problem is that I load up the IQSRAM file and turn off the ds and turn it on again (treid it with and without pressing abxy). All I get is 2 white screens after the healt screen.

I just don't get it. Everybody flashes there ds and it is simple and no problem and I want do do it and I fail.
Just wont work.

karurosu

I see where your problem is:

You say you can load games from SC. Well then, put the flashme.nds file in your SC and load it like it is a normal ROM. Don't worry about the GBA files. Just do it the same way you load Animal Crossing.

But every tutorial that I saw sad that if you have new firmware (yellow screen) you should doe that thing with the IQSRAM.
So I dont have to do that?

L.D.

Btw I can load GBA roms from the sc but for me to play the nds games I must first turn the ds on without the superpasskey2.
Have to load the asne-0-.gba file first. sram is loaded and i can insert the superpasskey2 an turning off and on the ds to play ds games.

karurosu

Let me clear stuff for you.
The asne-0.gba nd sav are your equivalents of IQSRAM.gba. Most tutorials mention those names because those were the original files for passme2 devices.
For now simply start with your ASNE-0.gba game, do it like you were loading a normal NDS game, but instead run flashme.nds.
