Hi, I've been using the supercard for over a year now on the SP. I just bought the superpass2 for my firmware v3 NDS, so i reserected my supercard CF version. I been playing games using the SC software 2.51 patcher and firmware 1.60(on the supercard) without flashme, just using the superpass2 connected in the DS slot and the supercard in the GBA slot. Games seem to run fine. I was playing mariokart from my supercard and i edited some nintendo WFC settings and could connect and even play vs some people online and it saved these settings. What I fear is that with these extra settings stored into my NDS, will loading flashme onto my NDS encounter any problems?? I have read about people who have played on mariokart AFTER they have flashme'd. I wanna know If PLaying Mariokart BEFORE I flashme will brick my DS or not? THANX for any advice.  :D

No no it won't.. I was playing Mario Kart with a Passkey2 before flashing and I could also play just fine after flashing so you don't have to worry  :)

Thanx for the reply. Did u use the online settings? did u play it online? cos when u save the wifi settings., i think it writes into parts of the firmware that flashme uses?

Latest Flashme fixes that problem.

Mario Kart only updates non-WFC firmware, which only borked older Flashmes 'cause they had extra/rearranged code that got boofooed by the update.

Latest flashme incorportates WFC firmware, so Mario Kart doesn't touch it (well, only to save settings, which is safe).

And while we're on that subject... if Nintendo incorporated WFC into the firmware, why didn't they add a submenu to the boot-up menu? Wouldn't it be nice to be able to edit your settings without having to fish around for a game cart?

Of course, I guess it's irrelevant, as there's no WFC game that doesn't have the menu, but still... It's kinda like how you couldn't edit your N64 memory card unless the game supported doing so, gah.

sorry mod for posting in the general section, and a BIG THANX to everyone for the help. Im gona summon up sum courage n flashme my nds in a bit...

oh. i need to also ask..

without flashme (just using the superpass2) i can get online on mariokart...would i still be able to go online after i flashme(running mariokart of the supercardCF)? During flashing do i need to touch the black switch on the side of the superpass2? wot does that do?

ohmygod

OK..i done it... downloaded flashme_stealth.nds and copied it over to my supercard. Superpass2 and supercard both plugged in, I started the program. asked me to press a few keys..then the 0% showed up. This is where i realisid my screwdriver couldnt connect the current..so i run around the house looking for some aluminium foil LOL. OK finally got it to flashme and yea its brilliant! mariokart seems to still connect to WFC and battery life should be back to normal. thanx

sneef

battery life will not be back to normal.  the supercard in the gba slot drains more battery than having a standard DS cart in the slot.

even while in GBA mode the supercard still drains more battery than a normal GBA cart.

but, supercard still rocks! and flashme is way better than having to boot up with a passthrough device

Yes I did play online before flashing and after flashing. I forgot to mention sorry  :)  I used the same online settings it doesnt matter. But i think after flashing your DS, your friend code changes.. Its not a big deal though..
