Superpass JAMMED! Need help PLEASE!

So even though I've read it several times (on being careful to push and unlock your superpass before removing it) I pulled my superpass out and now it's jammed. I'm not sure if the superpass lacked a locking notch... but what I do know is that my superpass is locked tight and all gentle manipulations are ineffective in removing it from the ds slot. I've got the back of it open right now trying to study how it works but Nintendo did a great job in keeping it all enclosed. Has anybody had this problem? I'm positive that giving it the ol' yank will result in nothing but a broken locking mechanism... and an inability to secure ds games in the slot from then onward.

Thanks in advance!

try this:

Push In, then, pull out, fast.

yeah my sp gets stuck all the time, just a simple fast push in and pull out tends to get it out
TF WAS THAT?

I never have problems with my DS but I really had trouble with taking it out from GBA SP. The best way is, pull it from one side, then other side, then other side again until it becomes loose. Thats how i do. You don't have to be so gentle trust me its pretty sturdy(but then again do go crazy   )

heh... I've gone quite hard with it already. I mean... did you actually have to put some serious weight behind your pulls? I've been snapping my wrist really quickly... with a tight grip.   :?    nothin.

These are the -2- things I can do from a secured position (when the sp is firmly secured in the ds slot):

1. -you can pull it out a mm, push back in and then remove the superpass but NOT all the way. It stops halfway and nothing you do seems to be able to get it through.

2. -from secured position you can give it a small tug and the cartridge clicks out and extends to the same halfway point as in #1

So what do you think now?...

Once it is half way out just give it a quick tug.  Mine did the same, and I finally just gave it a good tug and it came free from the ds slot.

Just make sure that the ds did the release click before you even think about tugging on it.

No go... this thing is not coming out without snaping off some component inside. Has anybody had any luck in the insides of this thing? Moving a release for the lock or something? There's a bunch of thin metal snags and holes.... I dunno... it just seems that tugging isn't going to release it. Has anybody had any success with jimmying it loose/free????

push it in,then pull it out a mill or 2,until it should click.
if it does that, then push it back in,and pull back again until it clicks, and if it does that,it shoudl be unlocked.
now just pull it out,as it sounds a bit stiff.

There's no more click. There was... but after trying on it so long there's nothing. Now it can just move freely from full inserted to halfways out... and that's where it's jammed. I don't think this is the same situation that the rest of you were in. It seems quite obvious that some part inside will be destroyed if I haul on it past that stuck point.... well... I've obviously hauled on it REAL hard already... but nothing seems to enough to get it past that point. Anybody have any luck with inserting a strip (metal or something) along the edge to cover over whatever hook it is that locks it in there? And I don't mean the click-lock.... I fear that that portion may already be destroyed.

Got it out. As I guessed the locking mechanism is toasted. DS carts do not click in anymore unfortunatly. The good news is that I really don't need it any longer... and it gives me a great excuse to get a ds light once they've got a firmware update for it. ;)

I actually had to jam a tiny flathead screwdriver in front of a small plastic strip... then open it... where it scraped off a think ribbon from the strip. Here's some pics I took of the small plastic strip:

Here's the strip:

Thanks for all your help!

You CAN repair the locking system. Search for a post on it.

You can actually repair it, not just stick some paper in with the game.

Well could you point me to that thread because I'm using the ole "stick some paper in" trick  :?
