I have a Question about updating games when I have installed a new version of supercard software..

Do I need to patch my save files?

Do I just take the original unpatched game/file, and patch it with the new software? and then put it on my supercard and overwrite the old gamefile?

Do I need to do something with the save file?

And when Is a new kernel out, do I need to patch every game then?

Supercard .sav files should always be upward compatible with newly patched roms.

In my experience there is no need to re-patch roms unless there is a specific fix or feature available.  I don't know if this will always be true.
