Hi!
I have a question about ROM Position for NDS roms - which is better? SuperCard or SD? What are pros and cons of every position?
Thanks for answering :)

Jackalo

I think that if you select SC, it will load a ROM under 32MB into ram, and SD would only load it as it goes.

And what is good about choosing supercard position and what about choosing sd position?

Robotochan

Putting it on SD Card means faster loading times but possibly some slowdown
Putting it on Supercard means longer first load time but less slowdown

To add to that, you can only use supercard position if the game is 256mbit (32MB) or smaller.

is there a thread or a site that tells you if you get slowdown?

No, and the general rule of thumb is to just try it and see. DS slow downs are very rare, and most often occur when a level is loading, not in the middle of gameplay so much people don't even notice they are having them.
