I would just like to see what the percentage of people are that bricked their lites

bitblt

Nope.  Flashed one US NDSL and one JP NDSL.

Opps I forgot to add the option "Im not going to try to flash it"  and for some reason I cant edit my pole options

I won't probably as long as you still need an original cart to enter sleep mode anyway.

it was pretty easy, i already flashed 2 and i am about to flash 2 more. Oh, and you still need a game to get in sleep mode.

I had no problem flashing my brand new DS Lite.  I got to 1% and lost the contact, but I found it again and successfully finished the flash.  I probably got one of Real Hot Stuff's last Passkey2's, though I did have to remove the switch and solder a jumper to program it.

Not going to bother. I actually just returned a bricked DS fat to Wallmart and exchanged it +$10 for a Lite. Now I don't have a recipt, so if I brick it, I'm hooped. With the Superkey and Passkey3, there really isn't a need to flash anymore. This way you don't void your warranty either.

also with a FlashPass you should be able to play games of 512 megabits or smaller without flashng.

I'd like to warn that using these new pass devices doesn't protect malicious code from bricking your DS.  Flashing prevents that problem.

THERE IS A BAD SIDE to using these products.  Be warned.  The more popular the DS gets, the more malicious crap is going to float around.  I've already been hit once (what was Darkfader thinking??) - without having flashed my DS, I would have a classic DS brick right now.

What I will do is once I get my passkey is I will flash my Ds if I brick it I will return it to target, get a new one and just use my passkey.  so I only have once chance. But the thing is with flashme is that if their is a new update you might have to flash it again like what happen with the wifi thing

Fuuny stuff, im the only one who voted "Yes" but there were 6 diffrent people who did  on launch day between the forums and the chat room, lol.

But attempting to flash doesn't mean you'll automatically not brick it either. Even some experienced flashers have had weird problems crop up with the new US DSLs.

And you won't be able to use sleep mode without a carrying around an actual game cart either.

DeVS

I doubt we see the bricker again. Hell when was the last time anyone got hit and how many people did get hit when it was circulating, 7,lol?

I'm not too worried. I always let other people try the homebrew and wait for a few revisions before I grab it anyway. By the time I use it, if there was anything wrong with it, it would have been found out. Plus I use Moonshell to launch apps most of the time, and it has the same trojan checker built in.

Also, the option "Bricked, but recovered it!" is/was missing, I guess.
