Of course you do.

Take one Conductive Pen:

And one MML Cartridge:

And draw:

It's not the best solution and not the most elegant however it does work.  Note, if you go down this path, ensure you don't use too much of the "ink".  The pen is very much like a Liquid Paper pen.  You push the nib down and the ink runs out.

I had the hassle of the ink ran between contact points and would power off the DS at immediate startup.  I then had to remove the battery to get the DS to start up again.  I ran a sharp knife between traces to cut them again and the MML started working again.

I probably used a little too much of the ink.  The conductive properties take about 20 - 30 mins to start working.  So don't panic if it doesn't work straight away.

The good news is I now have full sleep mode.  And I did not have to open the MML at all.

It also works if you use aluminum foil to connect the two pins.  Someone had pictures of it over on gbatemp.net.  The problem with the foil is though you have to be extremely precise and make sure it isn't going to be in the way when you insert the mml into the DS.  I wouldn't really recommend doing this though because my mml is already pretty tight fitting into the ds slot anyways.

That conductive pen looks cool.  I wish I had one of them when I needed to change the battery on my old XG1 cart.

I asked for a sodering gun for my birthday and received some gigantic thing that was way too big, so I ended up stripping off a bread tie and using that.

I have found two places to get the pen so far.

www.maplin.co.uk £19.99 (Cheaper to buy a Superkey)

www.ebay.co.uk (320001490814) £11.99 (BID) + £1 P&P or £15.64 (BIN)

So quite expensive, it seems.

But you can use it for other purposes, too... So the price could be made up if you are into modding stuff.
