Question about getting 9.98 PocketNES on SC.

I know it's been asked before but I've read the post and made a couple attempts but it still won't work.

I have about 30-50 NES games I want to put on the SuperCard and run them with PocketNES 9.98. I downloaded the Menu Maker and the PocketNES.

I created a folder on my desktop and put in all the NES games I have and then I add the files I extracted from the PocketNES and the Menu Maker. I ran the program and selected create ROM so it creates a GBA file then I'm lost.

Do I just copy all those files to my SD card and run the SC in GBA mode? I can't seem to get it right. I've tried a few things and when I run my SuperCard I get a list of all the NES games I have and I also see pocketnes.gba and PocketNESMenu.gba. When I run both of these it always shows a bunch of messed up colors then I get two black screens.

If I hold L and R it will bring up the pocketnes menu and it does say v9.98 but I must be doing something wrong.

Please help, thanks.

Pocketnes is already built into the supercard.

As far as I know you just put a clean nes rom straight onto the mem card. To save grab the ready made nes.sav file which is included in the patcher software folder. Re-name it to match the rom name and put that on the mem card in the same folder as the nes rom.

Then to save, first you have to save in pocketnes menu (L+R) and then afterwards save on the supercard using (L+R+Select+A).

I understand it is already on there but the version that is on there is 9.97 I think and it sucks. I want a better version so I can actually play my games.

I heard that the new version 9.98 is better so I want to run that instead.

sorry about that..

here is a thread where someone has made a guide .. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=33853&hl=nes+roms

..thought I would mention that the latest patcher software 2.541 can play havoc with GBA patching at the moment so it might be safer to use 2.44 for patching the pocketmenu.gba file.

Thank you very much for that link. I had to create an account to view the link but that should help me tons.

I will try this when I get home from work today.

Thanks again,

What is the difference between 9.97 and 9.98?

Drucifer

I was told that the scaling issues have been improved with the new release. I want to give 9.98 a try to see if it plays better than 9.97 since I can barely stand playing NES games on the SuperCard at the time being.

Or if someone else knows of a better NES emulator for the SuperCard then please let me know.
