Hi Everyone,

I'm fairly new to this and i'm having trouble flashing my SC to the latest firmware. When i run the update file i get to the do you want to update? A- Yes, B- No part and then when i press A i get a write error part of the way through the flash. It usualy happens at 239kb but does happen at 55 or 247kb too. I then have to turn the power on my GBA off and start again.

I've tried firmware 1.60 through to 1.62 and they all work fine. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem?

Also if the problem can't be fixed can i use the latest software with firmware 1.62.

Thank You :)

Thanx for the the reply,

I've tried the one from the SC website, it doesn't have a letter after it but its bundled with version 2.55c of the software. I also got a copy of 1.63b from a different site and had the same problem. Would version 1.63a work? if so do you know where i could get it.

Thanks.

Do not use "1.63a"! When this patch came out it caused all sorts of problems with various models of SC.

Well looks like i'm stuck then until they bring out a new firmware. What advantages does 1.63 have over 1.62 anyway do people know?

ShinaKitsune

it says on the site. but it fixes star fox and a couple other games that need the enable cartridge access thing.

Hey I just got the same problem! How can I fix this?

Black Magic

No one seems to know how to fix it. Maybe just wait for the next firmware. Is it just my experience or are super cards very problematic?

Try reformatting you're mem card (make sure it's FAT not FAT32) and then try the update in GBA mode (take out passcard)
Yes I'm mad
