DragonMinded has updated his VERY popular DS homebrew app DSOrganize. He has also been generous enough to release the source code to the public so that everyone can take a peek at his work. We hope the source code will give other homebrew developers some ideas on how to improve there own homebrew apps/games.

Hey everyone! I've recently put out DSOrganize 2.3, as well as the source for the project. This release is a maintenence release, and I decided to put it out now because with this semester, I am really not going to have time to release anything until after finals in December. I figured I would at least get a version out that has a few more bug fixes and such, before leaving the project to get stale for a few months. Don't worry, as I am not dropping the project, and have big plans for it when I can start working on it again!

Fixes found in 2.3

   * Fixed bug where A/B didn't swap on sound player.
   * Added volume multiplier to sound player.
   * Added and characters for spanish users.
   * Fixed bug with ? always being highlighted when old language files were used.
   * Made all screens with scrolling lists wider, to use up the unused border space and changed the look and feel a bit.
   * Changed text/html viewer scrollbar to reflect being held like other scrollbars.
   * Changed HBDB to stay in / if the default homebrew path isn't found.
   * Fixed a bug where scribble saves were getting corrupted from an old home screen.
   * Made /connect an alias to /server.
   * Made IRC ignore commands it doesn't know.
   * Made left and right buttons jump to previous/next day planner events like the bookmark system.
   * Added pull-up menu to browser. Drag your stylus from one of the buttons upwards to activate.
   * Fixed bug with L/R highlighting in IRC.
   * Fixed some inconsitencies in the help files.

As for the source, I was very hesitant to put it out, but since so many poeple would like to see it, I've made it available online. I really really don't want poeple to make modifications or repost their own compiles, aside from cart compatibility tests and such, as this IS my personal hobby. If you must include it in a commercial project or recompile with modifications, please talk to me first.

If the blue version doesn't work with your supercardlite test this version. Please.

Delete your dsorganize folder before putting  this on your microSD Root

What version is this? and Where did it come from?

dondipietro

It's a mix of the three color version that I made. Because the blue version doesn't work with my sclite.
And It works, why it's a mystery but I tested It a lot and write to micro SD is supported and I have no more the blue cow dancing.

It's not a malware or a virus. I know that I didn't post a lot here but I read the forum for a long time

No offense to dondipietro, but can anyone confirm that this version is safe to use or has tried it out?

dredd123

For me, I'm using the passcard 3 & super card lite combo.  My NDS Lite was bought in Hong Kong.  The blue version does work but I have problems with saving text and when it crashes while trying to doing so, it normally corrupts some files (Corrupt files can cause problems reading the SD card in the computer).  I have taken it off as at first I thought maybe my sd card was bad but I think maybe DSOrganise is not 100% stable with super card lite.  If you don't ask DSOrgainse to write anything on your SD card, it shouldn't crash.

I'm sorry to read this. I don't know why but this version works with my supercard lite AND the blue didn't (blue screen freeze)

Peraps It's a luky strike for me.

Fuck the Scene

I'm flat out tired of this bullshit. There is nothing but rot left in the DS scene. From SC splitting the scene to card makers not releasing drivers and everything inbetween, it is just fucking ROTTEN. I quit. Good fucking riddance. I hope you are happy. If you want to complain about this, go see the people in #dsdev and #mellowdsdev on efnet.

Well that sucks!!

pootang

who was he? and excuse my ignorance ... but what makes him so special?

rorix_bladewing5

That was from Dragonminded himself i believe. No one said he was special.  He made DSOrganize so i guess he can do what he wants with it.

AnalogMan

Damn, there goes another one. I wish these guys would tell more details about why they're leaving. (SC leaving the scene, what?)

DragonMinded was a very good DS programmer who made the most advanced Organizing software for the DS including Reading/editting text, viewing and creating images (including animated GIF), playing music, browser functions (cut, paste, new file, delete) calculator, calendar and day planner, address book, IRC client, and the infamous Homebrew database, an online database of dozens of homebrew applications and games that you could download directly to the DS via Wifi.

Truely a great loss to the DS scene.

Hrm, has anyone been able to get the IRC to work properly on it for SCLite? it usually freezes up after trying to connect.
