Interesting - will have to move form complaining about tangled wires to complaining about loosing the remote!

Damn this is gonna be great. XboX 360 and PS3 will be nothing more then clones of each other, 95% of the same games with the same game controlers, and Nintendo will be a million miles apart!

Problem is 3rd Party support.  And since the games will be "budget" development wise, I am not expecting killzone level or even Gears of War level graphics.
I'm getting the 360 this november then the revolution next year.  I'll wait for MGS4 before getting the PS3.
The Rev, like the DS, is gonna deliver some very intereting gameplay.  I'm so looking forward to that even if the graphics are Xbox 1 level.

Mavromatis

I want Star Wars so I can swing my remote controller shaped Light saber.

DeVS

No way will the graphics only be XboX 1. The Revolution is small and gonna cost a ton less cause it is gonna be built to do 1 thing and thats play games. Take out all the xtra crap from the PS3 and XboX 360 and stop worrying about it being able to put OSX on it or show pictures from your grandmas vacation and make them ONLY play games and both the XboX 360 and PS3 would cost ALOT less. I will probaly get all 3 systems cause im a game freak but as with the Cube now, I can forsee the Revolution getting most of my game time.

Yea, the video really gets you thinking what they can do with that controller...I especially like the baseball one :D

Anywho, I was first shocked at the image of the controller, but alas, I read the impressions and it won me over. :)

Until the clone it :).  You know every Nintendo innovation was copied (even Virtua Boy - look at the Secret Scope feature of the PSP game MGA2 and tell me that ain't the Virtua Boy but in full color).

IMHO I think the Revolution controllers are an insult to gamers everywhere.

They look EXTREMELY uncomfortable and you can't just plop into bed and play a game, you have to sit in a fashioned where the controllers and sensors work properly and keep your hand in a single position if you don't want to screw your game up, they should ATLEAST have another kind of controller with similiar functions or something.

Deadmon

Um, exzapel, you did read the interview with Jim Merrick right?

QuoteEurogamer: How is the controller going to work with games that aren't designed specifically for the Revolution - multi-platform titles and so on?

Jim Merrick: We're producing a classic-style expansion controller, based on traditional designs like the Gamecube controller. It's like a shell with a hole in the top into which you slot the freehand-style controller, and then you can play third-party ported games, and retro Nintendo games you've downloaded.

So there's that option - but even while it's inserted into the classic-style shell, the freehand controller will still be able to sense positioning and so on, so there are more options too.

If you did read it, I'll respect your opinion ^^
Though, playing RPGs with one hand could be fun. >_>
It's something that's just as true for the DS - not every game uses the DS's unique features. But some multi-platform titles do, like The Sims 2 for example. We hope other developers will do the same and look at ways their multi-platform titles can make use of the Revolution's features.

exzapel

No, I didn't read that but it hasn't changed my opinion either, making us pay extra for something that should be included, or making it natively apart of the controller? it still makes it a REALLY REALLY stupid idea.
