Why in the world is there no actual "basketball sim" for the DS?  I need one so bad, I might learn how to code just to make one...does anyone know if there's one in the works?

I'd like some regular 5on5 as well maybe a *arcade Run & Gun style game that utilizes both screens with a behind the back camera.

Mario Hoops is far from a sim...as a matter of fact, as a big 2k and nba street fan, I almost HATE Hoops 3 on 3 because of it's lack of grit.  I'm talkin about 2k or live or at least nba street...I mean every sport is represented on the ds, with the exception of basketball.

And not to bash Mario Hoops, because the controls on that game are inovative and fun...it's just not...basketball.

Personally I think the controls are more basketball than most other basketball games out there, the simple fact you can control your dribble with such accuracy is quite a feat, I just wish they use this syle control and add some more elements to it for a sim type game.  For the record the 2k series on the Dreamcast was the bomb, the live series just isent as good.

You're right and I was wrong...all major sports aren't represented, and I'd like ALL of those (baseball, basketball, and hockey).  When I was choosing systems, I almost bought a psp just because they have all the major sports...but then I realized i'd break it...and I'd also pretty much be limited to just sports games, since there seems to be a lack of other quality new titles.

But in choosing the ds, there's a distinct lack of good sports games...I NEED my sports games, and I figured nintendo was going to roll some more out later...but it seems like I might have been wrong...

And Live does suck compared to 2k...I feel the same about madden and 2k also.

Major League Baseball 2K6 will be released 12/15/06...one forgotten sport down, 2 to go...
