Lite Rumble V2.57 - permanent NO under Save tab

I am a newbie. I have just acquired a Passcard and Supercard Lite rumble - mini SD.  I can covert and run almost all the games I have tried so far, but the V2.57 software always says NO under the save tab on the Game List screen (I downloaded the software today 25/ Nov 2006 so I guess I have the latest).

Also, when I load Need For Speed Most Wanted, with the settings that are supposed to work, it goes all through the start up screens, then says 'THE DATA COULD NOT BE READ' 'TURN THE power of and remove an reinsert the ds card' .  The same happens for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.  With Happy Feet, after running a game it then says cannot save data to card - power down and remove/re-insert game.

Would these problems be related to the permanent NO under the Save tab on the Supercard software?

I have obviously tried selecting all settings, but nothing changes it from NO.  Interestingly, if I click the Enable Add Cheat under the options, that still stays as NO under the CHEAT tab on the Game List screen

Any ideas anyone?

the save tab is for GBA games so it does not affect you so its not the cause of your problem
your looking at the options for GBA game which you cant play
to look at the DS options you need to right click the game in the software
i dont know what is causing your problem though unless your trying to play GBA games??

Thanks for the info jmr, it was not clear what the Option settings were for. I have right clicked the game and set the correct options, according to various compatibility lists. Most games are working fine.  The games I am having problems with are definitely DS games, and do start to run. I am wondering if it is the supercard firmware I need to update. I have read other posts an seen that it can cause save problems, which this may be. I think I just loaded and ran the firmware update that came on the disk with the Supercard Lite, when in fact I need the 1.7 firmware, which I downloaded with the V2.57 software.   I will give this a go.

I will try that and see if it solves the problem

I am no expert, but having read around the forums I think this type of save is only supposed to work for Gameboy games, and the Supercard lite rumble does not support Gameboy games.  I have to admit the information supplied is confusing as I thought you could save at any point in a game by using left+Right+Select+B.  I can save at normal save points in games.

ALL DS games save just as they do in the original cartridge, only GBA games require the complicated method. So you can ignore it :)
