Has anybody tried a 2GB FAT formatted compactflash card and can you verify that it works.  Currently I'm using a 1GB Kingston which works great.  Thx.

Also, do you think this 4GB CompactFlash card will work formatted in FAT16: http://www.digitaldingus.com/pma2004/2112004/sandisk4gb1632.html

The biggest CFM currently supported is 1GB.

I don't see why a 2GB wouldn't be supported since FAT supports up to 2GB.  But I know for a fact that 4GB would be out of the question since it exceedes the FAT limitations

According to the page.....

"The new 4GB SanDisk CompactFlash card features a three-position switch located in the left-hand area of the card so consumers can switch between either a single 4GB (FAT32) volume or two separate 2GB (FAT16) volumes."

It will prolly work in 2GB mode, You would just have to switch between which 2GB partition you want.. Prolly be easier and cheaper to just buy two 2GB cards, since you would have to turn the GBA off between switches anyway.

Someone has a 2GB Sandisk card working on the official forums:

All I can say is that I am currently using a Sandisk 2GB CF (NOT Ultra) and it is working fine. I avoided the ultra because I read that the Ultra would not work in my other equipment. But 2GB does not seem to be a problem.
