Yesterday i visit m3forum and a lot people said about it can't run many homebrews now.
I want to ask is the other cards (SCDS EZV R4 DS-link)have a same problam for now and future?

I going to buy M3Simply but if SCDS can run more homebrew maybe i have to think again.

All the slot1 devices will be able to run upcoming homebrew via the DLDI interface. This will mean that the user will have to patch his homebrew for his card, but it is very easy.

Yeah, I believe they all have mature DLDI (read/write) drivers. I know the DS-Link does for sure, as this is my card and I have been playing homebrew stuff all week with it.

zektor is right in that all slot-1s will have the same homebrew compatibility because of the DLDI interface.  However, the problem is that when compared to a slot-2 card, the compatibility is relatively low.  There is a lot of new homebrew that is still actively being developed, and therefore has migrated to the DLDI system.  However, there is also a lot of homebrew that was last updated 2 years ago and will never work on a slot-1 card.

Are there any particular pieces of homebrew you wish to play?  We might be able to tell you whether or not they will work on a slot-1 card.

Download the Win32 binary and probably the Win32 GUI as well.  Put them all into the same folder, and also download the DLDI file that corresponds to your hardware and place that in the folder as well.  Run the GUI program and the rest should be self-explanatory.

The patched file is the same as the original one.  It doesn't produce another file for output - it just updates the original file.

I personally don't like this, so what I do is take the original game, let's say it's called "game.nds", and make a copy of it and call it "game-orig.nds".  I'll then patch "game.nds" and still have the original file in case I need it.

I patched Glider for the m3 simply but it didnt work. What did i do wrong?

DLDI patching only works for games that have been recompiled within the past week or so to have DLDI support.  Try Word Wrap, which supports nothing until it's patched, and make sure that wordlist.dat is in your root directory.
