Hi!

I have a ds lite with supercard and a transcend 2gb sd card (and a passcard) . The problem is that games don't work anymore, they just give white screens, or black. This started after I desperately tried to get FF3 work on my ds and in the end it didn't even work out.

So I'm afraid if I bricked my ds, any thoughts? Moonshell works though...

Have you tried putting some new roms on your card?

its pretty unlickey for it to be bricked
you can still run moonshell on it.
try getting compressed air and dusting your hardware.
then copy your data to your hard drive and format ur hard drive
finial fantasy III should work with the nds

I guess you meant "format your SD card/removable drive". Formating your HD won't be a clever idea... and it won't make you SC work better

On topic, why do you say FF3 doesn't work on your SC? It should, there's no problem with that game, AFAIK. What have you done in order to "make it work"? Did you change any extension/filename/firmware setup? What can you do in MoonShell?
If MoonShell works but games don't, my bet is on something you did to those files, because SC's menu seems to work correctly.

I just got blank screens on FF3 first, then I got it working, but the save files were always corrupted. I tried to change the settings in the rom file to make the saves work and after I tried various different settings, games didn't work anymore.

I downloaded the latest SC soft (v. 2.58), but I did nothing else. Oh I tried to format the SD card - didn't work - but maybe I'll try it again. I can view videos on moonshell, that's all I've tested with it. It's just that I tried to play Elite Beat Agents and FF3 with settings that work with most people, but I get only blank screens.

And thanks for helping, gotta try to figure this out.

yea that is wat i meant for mat the sd card
unistall the old one
then convert it again with the newer soft.
dont change anything this time
its not broken if u can still use moonshell

Did you upgrade your supercard lite firmware?  If you use old firmware with new software "combos", you can get these white screens or corrupted saves

Agreed, sounds like you've got the wrong firmware on there... Maybe even the broken one.
