Im going to return my M3 simply if i cant get it to work again and im deciding between the R4 and M3 Simply. So I thought id ask your guys opinions on which one to choose.

Also if my M3 simply broke (freezes on "Loading.." screen) isnt there a good chance that the R4 will since they are kinda the same?

Well, the R4 is the same unit internally. It would be the same to exchange the M3 for another M3 really. There aren't too many reports of M3/R4 defects, although some so surface. Just get another one, or if you feel that would be unlucky give another slot1 card a try (Like DSLink, DS-X, or SCDS)

Ok I already have the SCDS and i want one more. But i heard that M3 might drop support of the M3 SImply when they release there "Real" slot-1 card. That true? Other wise ill just get another Simply.

You can never tell what will happen with these companies. It is certainly possible, but I would think it would be a bad career move for M3 to do something like this....the consumer losing trust in a company is never a good thing for business. We will not know for sure how support will end up. I'll wait and see who's where in six months from now.

Can't you just swap between M3 and R4's firmware by resoldering that connection?
