this game is controlled entirely by the stylus.  :(

sigh... (at least that's what I read elsewhere)

That suxxorz. In a game like that, button presses are needed to get more immersed in the game

Hi

What's so bad about the stylus? Why do you need to press bottons to get immersed in a game? Why did you buy a nds? The point of the nds is that is has a stylus. (Well, that was the origanal Idea anyway. Things seem to have changed since the relise of the nds.)

The stylus is fine. That's why we got a DS. But...Ninja Gaiden? Running, jumping, and hacking? With a stylus? Maybe. I mean, I'm not passing judgment on a game I've only seen a few blurry screenshots of, but...I am skeptical.

Because, I like to press buttons to kick and slice, not tap tap tap. JUst because the DS has a touchscreen doesnt mean you HAVE to use it. I bought a DS beecause I knew it would be a great system, not because it had a touchscreen lol.

Yeah, stylus games are fun as hell(Canvas Curse, Trauma Center, WarioWare, etc.). But not 3D games, where the character is completely controlled by the stylus. The touch screen is no replacement for the analog.

I"m still kind of hyped about this game. I mean, I"m sure the team will make the controls the best that can absolutely be. But double tap to jump, and tap the enemies to throw the stars? That's kind of lame.

I wish they were making it 2D, with 3D elements. And I really hope you don't have to hold the DS sideways, like the pictures are hinting at.

But again, if anyone can pull this game off on the DS, it would be Itagaki and his team. So we'll just have to wait and see.

the stylus is not why I bought a DS.  I am actually surprised that some people found that to be the major selling point.

Touch screens are old news.  I've had a palm since the palm II (that's really old), and touch screen was not why i bought a DS.

The game looks nice, though.  :)  I'm happy ninja Gaiden sigma is coming to PS3

I know, I bought my DS for the same great Nintendo games, that I"ve been playing since the eighties. Not the touch screen and stylus.

And yeah, kinda sucks Sigma isn't coming to the 360. Seeing as I'm not going to spend my money on a ps3 until they get much cheaper. Oh well though. I really have been craving some new NG(ever since I finished GoWII), and hopefully this one is going to be great.

Here's some news on it from IGN. And yep, you'll be playing sideways. And hopefully he gets those controls a bit more precise. But everything else sounds great. Especially the camera.
