Anyone experience freezing?

tc1415

No, are you using the latest patcher/firmware?

I am actually experiencing freezing when I got to the GTS, it just walks through the door and then goes black and the music sort of stops on a single note. Everything else in the game works fine. I have formatted my card, updated the firmware, downloaded the supercard conversion program and the newer dat file to update it. I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem.

The front door or the door behind the counter?

I have the same problem.  Using the latest SC software, firmware, and dat file.  This is the only part of the game where I have a problem (was even able to do other wifi connections).  It saves the game, and when I walk in the door behind the counter it freezes at the black transition screen.

Hopefully someone can help us with this problem. Or if you solve the problem let me know.

Works fine for me, using Firmware version 1.7, Patching software 2.58 and the updated dat file. Im alos running it on a Supercard miniSD.

Hello, I had the same problem. When I entered the door of the GTS, the game would freeze
I also did all the updates but they didn't help.

In the end I tried a faster SD card (SanDisk 1GB UltraII instead of regular), and then it worked :-).
Give it a try if GTS freezes; I was able to transfer my game and savegame from the 'slow' SDcard to the fast one, and GTS worked instantly!

Let's hope this solves the problem for everyone.

ps: current nds setup:
NDS Lite (Purple firmware)
Supercard Lite
Superkey
Secure Digital Card: SanDisk Ultra II - 1GB

I have an unbelievably slow SD card and it works fine for me, but it could well be related to SD speed.

ATACK OF THE CAT!

A MUST SEE!!!!!

hmm probaply it's not a speed issue then...
But I know it had to do with the SD card.
In the past it's filesystem was damaged (through the use of DSFTP) and I reformatted it a couple of times, maybe that has something to do with it.
Or just a 'bad' SDcard, I don't know.

I made a topic about this also and this is what I was told to try and it worked :)

Quote from: "liquidnitrogen"anyways, GTS works for me...

i used these settings

Restart: Y / Trim: Y / Faster Game Play: Y / Enable "Patch Cartridge Access" Compatibility: High

DMA

if it still doesnt work.. try getting another copy of the dump... (pkmn diamond)

Just make sure you have a clean dump of the game cause the first rom I downloaded worked fine but kept crashing at the GTS even with those settings on. I got another rom of it and that one worked perfectly.

I still don't have this working.  I have downloaded a different rom, and still have the same problem.  Could have been two bad dumps...but I doubt it.  :P  I've tried it with 1.7/2.58, and now again with 1.8/2.60.  I use Restart: Y / Faster Game Play: Y / Enable "Patch Cartridge Access" Compatibility: High (I've tried other configurations also), with no luck.  If anyone has solved this, please post how.  Or if someone has it working with their dump, could they possibly PM me a link?
