I turn on my DS/supercard/Pokemon Pearl and it'll show a blue screen of death and say "The save file has been corrupted and will be erased"

how do I get it back?

If I can't get it back, how exactly do you take someone else's save file and put it on my game? Just have them send a file and transfer it to the CF card?

Yes, but make sure the .sav and .dsq have the exact same name.
