oh i see, thanks for the help, can R4 play gba games, and movies and such, it is the best slot1 out right now right

DeVS

It can play movies through the included Moonshell media player. It can not play GBA games, no slot 1 mod cart can play GBA games.

ah i see, again sorry for the nooby questions, which slot2 would can you reccomend?

DeVS

For GBA, the best compatibility is with the M3/G6 line or the EZ line. I prefer the M3/G6 line as I have never used the EZ line of carts so im not sure how well they work, just heard they have good GBA compatibility. The Supercard Lite will do GBA but has problems with some games and is not as good as one of the other I mentioned when it comes to GBA compatibility.

To be honest unless your a hardcore GBA player the R4/M3 Simply is the best cart out. It is perfect for NDS, requires no rom patching, and homebrew also works very well on it. I would not suggest one of the older slot 2 carts unless GBA is a must have for you.

Even then, the EZ-V expansion pack is a good option for those who wish to have GBA compatibility in conjunction with their slot-1 ease of use.  I believe they've currently unlocked the GBA compatibility and the Opera RAM functionality for use with all slot-1 cards, but the rumble functionality is still limited if you're not using an EZ-V for your slot-1 device.  Still, it's a good thing to consider.

Personally I prefer my slot-2 device but I enjoy the GBA compatibility, so in the end it really depends on your situation.
