Has anyone got this to work with the SC DS?  Mine locks up when I login to AIM.  At that point it's supposed to write data to the SD card for your account information.  I think it's a DLDI problem.  Any experience with this?

Works fine on my Supercard miniSD, though make sure you get the updated version from the GBAdev thread, as the original 0.03e had issues with most carts.  The updated one released yesterday works fine for me.

There should also be a NoFAT version that doesn't write to FAT in case it's a DLDI issue.

Got the latest version from the thread, still nothing.  Homebrew support on the SCDS is really lacking.  No dslinux, no fully working DSAIM, etc...

Now why would you say SCDS is lacking homebrew support NT? SCDS1 supports any homebrew that supports DLDI, same as other slot1 cards. I downloaded DSAIM from the link you posted and it works fine. I'm signed on at this very moment. This is the first time I've bothered trying DSAIM. You need to make sure and patch DSAIM.nds with the latest DLDI patcher for SCDS1. I patched it using this tool . . .

This is a slick little DLDI shell that lets you simply right click on any .nds file to patch it. It works great.

If you want, PM me and I will send you the pre-patched version I'm running.

(The problem with DSLinux has to do with lack of GBA RAM. Other slot1 cards have the same problem without RAM in slot2.

I used the context menu patcher from the DLDI site.  If you could send me your patched file that would be great.

As far as dslinux is concerned, are you able to run those new DLDI builds on your SCDS?  I don't have a RAM pack ATM.

bitblt

You have PM. :)

As far as dslinux is concerned I've only tried running it on my SCCF last year. I think it supports DLDI now for use with slot1 cards, and can use a slot2 Supercard for RAM.

Thanks for the file.  Still doesn't work on my card.  On top of this my SCDS has intermittently stopped booting entirely.  It's usually not detected by the DS.  I have reformatted my microSD card with no luck.

bitblt

Sounds like a bad SCDS. That sucks NT. Maybe try the folded paper in slot1 trick, or try peeling off the label? I'll take a look at it if you want me to.

NT

Yeah, I think you're right.  So forget what I said about SCDS homebrew compatibility.

Can anyone who has the DLDI build working show me their directory structure?  Do you have to create a DSAIM directory on your SD card before you run it?  Does the DSAIM binary have to be in a certain folder?  I am now trying it on an R4 and it still locks up when logging in.  It doesn't create any files or folders on my SD card.

bitblt

I just put the DLDI patched DSAIM.nds in the root of my microSD card. The program creates a DSAIM directory with a file called DSAIM.ACC when you run it the first time.

If DSAIM doesn't work with SCDS1 or R4 then maybe it's the microSD card?

Maybe.  I don't have another microSD card to test with, but all my other DLDI-enabled homebrew works fine.  How is your SD card formatted?  I'm using the basic Windows GUI to format to FAT16.

Yep, that's what I do. I don't know why you are having this problem. Do you have the first slot in your DS WiFi settings set up for use with your router? Homebrew uses the first WiFi slot.

Yeah, I'm using the first slot Wifi settings.  DSAIM connects just fine and a I get the "login successful" message, but that's right where it locks up.  I think that once you login DSAIM tries to create the account information on the filesystem and then locks up due to some sort of problem.  I could be wrong though.  I have access to a different AP now so I'll test with that one.
