I FINALLY GOT IT!! My supercard lite rumble but anyways im using the supercard lite rumble software and I put NSMB and patched it it gave me the game and a save file. but when I start the game it says save file corrupt and must be erased so it erases it and keeps doing the same thing over and over! Any ideas? Im going to try to put a different game and see what happens.

Okay know I tested Castle POR and it says the same thing.....sigh...

some things to try

1) make sure mem card is formatted in FAT and not FAT32
2) Use the latest firmware and software..see links below
3) don't mess with the save options in the supercard main menu, thats for gba roms.
4) make sure you are using the correct version of patcher/client ... for sc-lite with rumble you need the rumble version.. don't get the sc-lite software

client/patcher..  http://romnet.co.uk/ffm/sc_rumble/sc_rumble_patcher_2.58.zip

firware.. http://romnet.co.uk/ffm/sc_rumble/sc_rumble_fw_1.7.zip   ..just run the file on your sc-rumble

updated rom patch.. http://eng.supercard.cn/download/ndsrominfo_slot2.rar   ..just overwrite the ndsrominfo.dat file in your 2.58 patcher instalation directory

thanks man I updated and it worked but POR plays but it frezzes when I press start.

yeh, POR is problematic on most carts I believe.. the key is to have a fast (access speed is the more important factor, I would guess) mem card.. the 'kingstons' made in Japan seem to be the favoured brand.

but you can try messing with the options.. the ds options are found by either double clicking or by right/click/properties a ds rom in the list in the patcher ... the options 'tab'  is for gba only, so don't look there

try..

'enable restart' off
'trim rom' on
'faster gameplay' on
'dma' try on.. but it may make it worse
'patch cartridge access' set to high

leave all the other options as they are

Hi

I thought POR was broken on slot-2 cards period, no matter what SD card you have. I've never tried, but essenchally, POR is probably the single hardest game to get running on nds flash cards. It can be done, but...

#1. You just got your supercard right? Don't attempt to wrestle with one of the most problematic games yet.

#2. I'm pretty sure you need a slot-1 card to get the game working, and even with a slot-1 card, you need to find a very fast micro SD card to get it working. (the exception being if you get a cart with internal memory.)

The best way to run POR is to buy the game. Either way you will have to buy something to get it to work, and by actually buying the game you can

#1. Not have to wrestle with the game.

#2 All pirates have to remember to support Nintendo. You should always be sure to sometimes buy real games sometimes. So, since it's so hard to run POR, why not make it one of the games that you buy to support Nintendo?

as far as slot 2 Supercards go for POR, the situation is something like this

sd/minisd versions are unlikely (impossible?) to get it 100% stable because of the older slower mem->sc interface

CF's with a fast mem card can suprisingly run it OK despite it's age.. I can vouch for that personally, have had it going fine on 2 sc-cf with Kingston elite 1gb and 2gb

lite and rumble versions also have success when used with fast mem cards from many reports
