so, I downloaded the first save of this page http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/save/925601.html
I converted using G6 save converter, but when I load up my pkm diamond, the professor comes explaining about pkmn as if the previous save didnt exist and I was gonna start a new game.
they're with the same name in the same folder.

For me, Pokemon has been really picky about its savefiles.  It wouldn't even work with a backup I made the day before, though my card had been corrupted at some point, which may have been why.  I'm not sure how to fix your problem, sorry.

the same problem happened with me
I got a corrupted save right after I beat the league
since then, I'm trying to get a elite four save and with pokesav, regain my lost pkmn

so, theres no answer for my question as far as we know?
