Hey guys,

So for the longest time I've been looking to upgrade my not so form fitting original slot2 SC SD for my DS lite, and I came across this for what seems very cheap compared to the older supercard lite that I've had my eye on (and about the same price as the rumble which cant play gba), its also sold locally which is very convenient.

From what I could find (link above) it is very similar to the supercards, so the million dollar question for me is would my patched roms and save games be easily transferable from one card (supercard sd) to the next? (cycloDS micro). The link actually says the patching software is interchangeable between the two so thats a good sign.

I think so.  Just make sure you copy a converted ROM into the CycloDS and copy the SAV file to the new cart.

Note: The Cyclops team has been known for repackaging SuperCard products.

Oh snap, that was quick, thanks for the reply.

Is there a problem with them repackaging the SC stuff? I'm actually fond of the SC so it doesn't seem that bad in that case to me, especially if the games and saves are transferable.

I posted the only thing I could find so far in my first post http://scorpei.com/CycloDS.html
The review did give it a fairly good rating, so I may pick one up tomorrow or sometime this week along with a kingston 2gig microsd if all goes fine, and I'll pass the mighty supercard sd down to my little cousin.

Vapourstreak

ok. Let me know how it turns out.  Maybe I'll buy one

the supercard lite uses a different patcher, however they seem to use the same patcher for micro sd and mini sd. this makes me think that they used the scsd hardware and made it smaller in the micro sd model, so hopefully your old files will work without even being repatched
