Hi everybody :)

I'm Darkgilson, from Belgian.. I updated my supercard SD with the 1.80 updater, and it seemed to be fine. I previously was in 1.71a.
But after a reboot, i can't go into the menu. Two white screens, and that's all..

I tried to boot in GBA mode, but the same thing appears  :(

I don't think my SC has been bricked.. So is it possible to recove it ?

Thanks !

did you try updating again making sure you have the correct firmware for your card and for the right country  :)

Thanks for your quick reply !

Unfortunetely, I could'nt update again.. I was sure of my version ! :(

I'll give another try, or re-flash it with another sc if i have the time...

You might have corrupt Supercard firmware. It can be fixed by running DF's flashmp.nds using wifime/WMB. Your DS needs to be flashed to do this. You can also check out my free Supercard firmware recovery service . . .

have u tried downflashing back to 1.7 ?? read somewhere that people not happy with 1.8 have done this :)

open6l

same thing happened to me going from 1.70... I've tried to recover using the swap method (with a good SC) but it power cycles the DS everytime I try to swap a good SC with the bad one... sigh...

open6l

grabbed another SD card and formatted - put on the upgrade.scu file and it sees it - but same thing happens after flashing (and reflashing with 1.80). If I say no to upgrade it goes to a white screen. If I say yes to upgrade it verifies then goes up to 100% and then the top screen goes all white... :(

ok quick update - I fixed the problem... I grabbed the 1.61 upgrade file (upgrade.scu) and put it into the root (overwriting the 1.80 upgrade file). I restarted the DS and it asked to upgrade from 1.80 to 1.61? I said yes - it flashed 100% and restarted and I was back up and running again. I then flashed 1.70 back on and I think I'll stay with this one for now. :) I grabbed the upgrade 1.61 from the download section on this site

thank you open6l, I joined this forum to ask for help with the same problem, and every firmware I tried gave the usual "it isn't accurate upgrade"...

I'm glad the 1.61 finally worked, I was starting to get worried.

They really should have a warning on the dl page not to go straight from 1.63

A lot of problems seem to arise with this 1.80 firmware

I can't even upgrade (have version 1.70)

When I try to upgrade to 1.8 or 1.81 all I get is a blank screen (white) when I start the .bin.

Im having problems since upgrading as well.  I tried down grading to 1.7 and now I cant get anything.  Just white screens.  How do I change the firmware if I cant get it to start up?

which supercards do you both have !?

there are 2 different firmware updates .bin files and .scu files you need to use the correct update file for your card  :)

are you blanking/formatting your mem cards before you try updating and make sure they are FAT 16 formatted its always best to use a blank memory card and then update so theres nothing on the card to cause any issues when upgrading  :)

as above if you cannot upgrade try a downgrade to 1.61 then try update from there to 1.70 then to 1.81  :)
