Homebrew on the SC Lite Rumble isn't very well supported, so here's a list I'm compiling of Homebrew that works. I should also clarify that you must be upgraded to firmware 1.8.1.

- DSOrganize
- Moonshell
- NesDS
- ComicBookDS (Occasionally freezes)
- Phidias (great drawing program)
- NitroTracker
- AmplituDS
- DSGoo
- DS SPORTS
- LAMEBOY 0.7 patched with sclt.dldi
- SNEmulDS patched with sclt.dldi - WORKS but remember need to put all files in a folder called SNES for it to find the roms so just make a folder and put the emulator with the cfg file and the roms
- PICODRIVEDS-0.1.7 - patched with sclt.dldi

I will continue to update this list as I try old/new homebrew... if you know of any homebrew that works on the Rumble cards please post how you launch it and I will update this list. Hope it helps. Not entirely sure which I had to do the DLDI patch for.

Edit: List updated thanks to: kkan
urrent setup:
NDS Lite - Black - FlashMe 8
Supercard Lite Rumble
2gb SanDisk MicroSD, 1gb Kingston MicroSD

@ felix... this has nothing to do with the firmware.

Rumble SCards are having no Memory, like SC SD/CF...

And many Homebrew Appz and also some SC Functions like "Enable Book" or Cheat IN-Game Menu need memory to run in...

mastergannel, you say that you patched some of the programs with DLDI. I don't see a DLDI device patch for the SC Lite Rumble on http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/DLDI/. What version of DLDI did you use?

Yeah, you won't find one, but you can use the SC Lite one... sclt.dldi   is the one you are looking for. It's the one that is working for me.

Quote from: "felix"I thought it was fixed with 1.81?

Yes and no, alot of homebrew that previously didn't work with 1.7 and older firmware now works thanks to 1.81, however without the RAM that Rumble replaces, certain homebrew still doesn't work.

I'm going to replace my Rumble with the SC Lite, but only when I have the cash. Till then I'm gonna maintain this list to hopefully eliminate headaches for other Rumble users.

Note that if SCLT.dldi doesn't work, you can always try SCSD.dldi and SCSD_moon.dldi, as one of them is bound to work.

Suggestions for applications to test:  SNEmulDS, TetattDS (or whatever it's named now), Lameboy, Rubber BanDS

DS SPORTS   -   WORKS   :)

LAMEBOY 0.7 patched with sclt.dldi  - WORKS

SNEmulDS  patched with sclt.dldi  - WORKS but remember need to put all files in a folder called SNES for it to find the roms so just make a folder and put the emulator with the cfg file and the roms  :)

note not tested many games on SNEmulDS but supermario world works :D

PICODRIVEDS-0.1.7   - patched with sclt.dldi - WORKS  :)

@kkan... SNEmulDS offers SRAM save and Savestate Support... but i can never call up the SRAM Menu, and saved Savestates are gone after turning the power off...normal? A Rumble SC issue?

Is there any way to save?  :?:

I haven't tested the emu with the new FW, but i managed to run past SNEmulDS versions with DSOrganize. Ok, eveything ran fine, except by the saves. Everytime I try to save with SRAM or SaveState, the emu just freezes. So i gave up.

But, this is not a SNEmulDS issue, because i tried some other emus that have save state support and also freezes. Oh, and I guess we need a proper DLDI for Rumble because i had to use the scsd_moon.dldi to run it (I have a normal SC Rumble (SD))... and seems DLDI is needed for the R/W operations.

Maybe this FW fixes it, so you can try scsd_moon.dldi ... i will test it later, because seems you can now run it directly with this new FW, hope the saves work now...

Cheers

Thanks for helping but saving works in SNEmulDS... both, SRAM and Savestate.

You just don't get any info when you click "Save SRAM", but it saves... and it Auto loads when you play the same rom next time... Savestates are also only shown in the list when you play the game you created the Savestate for... this was confusing me, but now i got it.

I've got an SC Rumble mini SD... and for DLDI patching i'am always using the SC SD File, this has always worked for me so far... for SNEmulDS the SC Lite DLDI file works also.

@Bishonen & kkan

thanks for the info on SNEmulDS, I got it patched and loaded, but I couldn't see the roms or move past that. Now it's working.  :D

Just speculating and theorizing because it's fun and I've got nothing better to do.

I wonder if all three DIDI patches could be combined into one DIDI patch.

If not, perhaps a special HB app made just for DIDI? perhaps it could apply all three DIDI patches to the rom/app/whatever. Would that be possible? Three DIDI patches?

HMM...

this doesnt really concern SC Lite Rumble...

i have SC Lite with the RAM,

i tried scsd.dldi, scsd_moon.dldi, sclt.dldi and NONE of them work for amplituds....

i finally got DSOrganize 1.7 FINAL to run today, but that was when i didnt DLDI patch it... >.>

it doesnt work if i patch it with any of the three dldi's... bleh... just ranting

DSO uses a modified version of gba_nds_fat, which supported slot-2 Supercards natively as long as they were the older ones that didn't require SCSD_moon.dldi for homebrew.  While DSO can be DLDI patched, you can also attempt to rely on the code that's still used by gba_nds_fat.  Think of it as an older system you can use as a backup.
