okay, so recently I bought the m3 simply and m3 lite flash cards, hoping to capitalize on the slot 1 and slot 2 benefits and have a gba solution that wouldnt stick out. I also got two 1 gig microsd sandisk cards for a great deal off of amazon. Was this a good combo? Incidentally, i also own an old supercard CF card, so i have dabbled a bit with gba backing up stuff in the past.

Are any general things i need to know? can I use DS organize with m3? I asked on the gbatemp how to use the ndsrom dumper and found i'll have to use flashme. Since i dont wanna risk bricking my ds lite, i was thinking of trying it on my old ds phat and then using my supercard CF in conjunction with the M3 simply simply for nds rom and saving purposes. Is this a good plan? Isnt there a video of how to do it? Anything else i should consider? Thanks for helping out an NDS newbi.

i wouldnt really try dumping backups.... but meh...

with the M3Simply + M3 Lite combo, you can use the RAM from M3 Lite like a ram cart for the Opera browser....

M3 Lite can be booted from the M3Simply menu, so if you have 2 1 gigabyte microSD, its basically 2 Gigabytes total...

M3 Lite can flawlessly (to the extent of my knowledge) play gba games, so that is pretty good.....

so you have NDS games (if one doesnt work, the other should)
GBA games,
Opera RAM pack...
homebrew

and SNES/NDS/ and all those other kinds of emulation out there...

Yeah, ive already played around with a few of the functions a little. I wonder though which is better, the crystal engine or moonshell?

And trying to get commercial roms other than backing up (like from websites) is sometimes messy.

Another thing that's annoying is how hard it is to back up our own personal roms. I mean we buy the flashcarts, then go to some wierd questionable website that no one can disclaim (because of legalities) to legally pick the roms we own from the site!? That just kinda seems counter intuitive.

Anyways, I would like to know then what's the best setup for my flashcards? Like put all my gba games and nds homebrew on the lite while isolating the m3 simply for commercial roms? And I am wondering how to use the ds organizer. Also, it seems like certain nds homebrew files contain both nds and gba ext files. Which ones do i use?

use the .nds file on your slot 1 card, and the .ds.gba on your slot 2 card (the .ds.gba isn't really a gba file, just named that way for compatibility.)

Read the DSOrganize wiki first, then ask here if you still have questions.

okay for some reason, the patcher doesnt work. It basically bleeps out. Any ideas why?
