Not at all.  I tend to buy stupid collector's editions of a lot of games that I already even own.  It's just like collecting comics or music.  It's not the same without the official packaging.  :-)

I hear that the Nintendo console ban hammer is now active.  Word is that they do a background check to see if HBC is installed on your Wii and if it's found, your console will be banned from online play... anyone confirm that or has any info on that?

The hacking community is abuzz tonight with talk of what may be Nintendo's latest step to squash piracy.

Word is, if you're trying to go online and play a game such as Mario Kart or The Conduit, there's a new Wii background check to see if you have the Homebrew Channel installed. This check goes on without gamers even knowing. If you're found to have the Homebrew Channel on your Wii, say goodbye to playing anything online.

from reading the original post on the original forum its UNCLEAR as to what happened MOST LIKELY is that the user was CHEATING using Ocarina cheats and got a ban!


unless the homebrew community erupts with mass bannings then I wouldn't worry too much at the minute!
