Since we here at scdev are somewhat of a closely knit community, members that have a Wii should all be Wii-Friends!!! Yipeeee!!! Let's share message boards and Mii's Yay!

Mario Kart has it's own code, are we posting those too or just inviting each other from the wii codes ??

Aren't you guys afraid if Ninty strikes down on modded consoles? They may shutdown consoles.

No, not the DVD drive chips. Best they could do is block online play. Shit look at the XboX 360, it's been damn near 3yrs now and they haven't been able to stop the dvd drive mods, just ban people from playing online. There has never been a hacked console that the company who owned the hacked console was able to patch and make it un-hackable with a software update. Once its broke, their not fixing it without redoing some hardware changes.

I was just thinking that it might be possible that Ninty propagate malicious code to modded consoles.

No, atleast nothing that couldn't be gotten around with another software update by the mod maker to their chip. Best Nintendo can do is change the secuirty reads on the disc and then the mod makers will just update their chips to do the same.

No as I'm not running a modded wii, just looking for some buddies to share wii's and play online, I probably shall not do anything to my wii as I brought it for the Nintendo AAA titles, It may sound strange but I enjoy buying these and collecting them.

I loved my xbox but modding that was essential for all the emulators, and of course XBMC - can't think of a need to mod another console for emulators - not unless someone does perfect saturn + 3do emulation!!

Ok Cool :-) it's unusual that we got this in the UK before you, I guess they thought Smash Bros would be best sold in USA first as we're still waiting for that one - June I think!
