Calling all DS-Link owners (Update: Zelda fix)

The list of titles that don't work on DS-Link is getting bigger and bigger, and they don't seem to be doing much about it.

Simcity, Zelda, Anno 1701 are all unplayable. Transformers suffers little black glitches on the upper screen. And they introduced a homebrew-breaking bug somewhere around version 1.5 that is STILL preventing us from using DSOrganise and DSDoom!

I've already contacted them about these things, but if other users were to reiterate my comments to them, they might actually bother fixing something for a change. eMail address is below - thanks for reading.

edit: wouldn't hurt to mention the random black-screens in pokemon d/p that occur when using the GTS, either.

Ummm, I don't suggest emailing them, because it will never reach them.  I have been trying to contact them forever, the closest thing I got to a reply is the PM system on their Chinese forums, but they log on every half a month.  Anyways, there are little fixes on the Chinese forums all the time, I'm not sure if they fix these games, but if you want, I'll check for you.

I used to receive replies to my email bug reports from them every time. Seems their customer support has tailed off though.  :(  If you're able to make any sense of the chinese forums then power to you! I'd really appreciate it :)

I feel a little silly now, I was one of the people singing the praises of dslink when it was released, and while it's still a decent card, compatibility and support have plunged somewhat.

Wow, that really sucks, I was just on the Chinese forums yesterday...  Today it is down, first time I have ever seen that.

Anyways, I have been on the Chinese forum a lot in the past, they have lots of quick fixes, and you'd be surprised at how many cheats they have.  Last time I checked, they had 722 cheats, far more than any other cart.

Don't be worried, I still love my DS Link, and their support is still great, as long as you can read Chinese.

Lol well I don't approve of cheating in games and I can't read a word of chinese. I personally feel like their support has taken a massive dive as they seem to ignore the english market.

They have ignored every one of my English posts and emails, for the Chinese ones, they aren't so bad.

I happened across this unoficial site: http://www.takeforum.com/dslink/viewforum.php?f=1&mforum=dslink that has a link for the new 2.20 Patcher, which fixes the save problem on Zelda and Simcity.

There's also links for a new 2.20 Firmware which I'm hoping will fix some of the graphical bugs in Transformers/various homebrew ... but the links are currently dead for these... grr.

Shame theres no mention of any of this on the English Dslink site(s)

I used to check this link for updates; usually had them first. Doesn't seem to have the new firmware either

Yes... that would be the update I mentioned 2 posts above... and it's only a patcher, not Kernel/Firmware.

It's been confirmed there is no 2.20 Kernel, just a patcher, meaning Transformers/Anno 1701/Various Homebrew has still not been fixed (they require a Firmware fix).

They also added SDHC compatibility with kernel 2.11
