The game is absolutely phenomenal.  I was just wondering if anyone else had picked it up yet.  The Wii controls make the game even better than it was the first time around.  For only $30, it's a steal.

The sad thing is though...it has the best graphics I have seen yet on the Wii and it's just a port from the cube/PS2 release.

Yeah :/  I'm kind of upset that the American version defaults to normal difficulty when the Japanese get Easy or Amateur straight from the start.  Usually devs go nicer on us... Capcom loves to hurt us :P

If there's one thing that bugs me though, it's the forced 16:9.  I have a 4:3 HDTV and it's not particularly big, so although the game looks stellar, it doesn't make good use of my tv.

jeez why does it cost £30 in the uk, that sucks (rrp is £40!)

I was wondering who else had this.

I picked up for a measly $30 buck too, and I'm loving it. Great game and much easier to aim (I never did get used to shooting by holding an analog joystick, I prefer them PC style).

I have it and love it too. Already played it on the GC back when, but the new controls make it even nicer! Im alittle worried though as RE 5 was shown during both the Microsoft and Sony E3 press conference, but it was not shown during Nintendo press conference, only  Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and the new zapper control case were mentioned by the big N.

Yeah, I bought it on the day it came out. Although...I've already finished this game six times between my gamecube and ps2 copy. So I kinda know what's going on already, but the Wii version definitely is the best, and the most fun to play. So it feels new to me. I love the controls.

Yeah, I'm a little about RE5 too. I mean, I'll still get to play it on the 360, but I would rather play it on the Wii just for the controls. Also, I've read that they're not going to keep the behind-the-back perspective in this new one. So I really hope they don't go back to the crap'ified third person tank-like controls. I don't see why they would though, since RE4 controls and perspective is perfect.

Playing on Easy would just be a waste of the game... it's best played on Hard! I remember lots of people swapping save files online with the GC version so they could play Hard mode straight away and not spoil the surprises in Normal mode.

The screen ratio is like that so you get a 'realistic' angle of vision, forcing you to look up and down more - according to capcom.

I'm pretty annoyed RE5 isn't coming to Wii.... Umbrella chronicles looks like utter rubbish. What next, make RE5 a generic first person shooter? Hmm could happen yet...
