Anyone know any big american retailer that sells micro sd adapters?

You mean just the microSD to full-size SD thing? I'm not sure any retailer sells those, even the online ones.

I have this and it works great! No need for an adapter as it has a microSD slot (they call it transflash which was the microsd first name).

That's the one that came with my R4. I haven't had one single problem with it yet. Pretty good reader.
Setup:

yeah its what i got with mine (R4) too which I got from shop01, its a good solid micro sd card reader that works great :)
