Hello, I've just bought a 4Gb SanDisk SDHC card. I didn't realise it may not be compatible with my Supercard (Supercard SD with FlashMe installed).
After a bit of research I managed to convert it from FAT32 to FAT 16 through Windows Disk Management. It's got me a bit further but still doesn't run. I no longer get a non-compatible card message. I tried partitioning my card by it's all set to Primary Partition and I'm not sure how to change it. If anyone has a sure-fire way of allowing me to use this card I would appreciate it. Also if anyone knows more about FAT16 and partitioning, that would also be very helpful.
Cheers,
JL

Aren't the sdhc cards incompatible with micro sd devices that don't support sdhc I think it's more a technical difference than simply fat/fat32

yep, no way in hell to get it working on a SCSD, if you don't have a slot1 cart yet get a cyclods evolution, it's the only cart right now that supports SDHC, or just return it and get a standard SD instead heh.

I'm not advertising or anything, just giving him an idea of how to put his SDHC to use.
SC CF + 1GB Kingston CF + flashed NDS = a whole lot of fun.

he said that it is ansd card, so it will not help if he has a cyclods as it only takes micro sd.
i am 90% sure that it isnt possible, however i do know that it is possible to use a 4gb sd card in the supercard.

Oh yeah, sorry about that, it's the Sc lite that uses Microsd...

Also I've just found out that cyclods is no longer the only 1 to support SDHC, dslink released a FW update that enables support for it too, so if it can be done via FW updates MAYBE it's possible that a future SC SD FW update adds support as well, not likely I think, but still a possibility.

Really, wow didn't realise that about DsLink !

Hi

It will work! I've gotten mine working just fine.

Do you know how to format things using the command prompt.

Just format the card to fat. Yes, I know it's 4gb but in the command prompt it's possible to format 4gb cards to Fat16!

It is compatible with the SCSD!

yeah but u are talking about a regular 4gb sd card which we all know its possible to use with the supercard sd. However we are talking about sdhc, have you been able to format it HI and use it on the supercard? ::) because so far the supercard is known for not being able to play the sdhc. Also take note that jushslinger said he manage to format it to fat16 and still no worky. ;)

Just heard that SanDisk is sending out 6 and 8 gb micro SD SDHC to the major phone producers and networks for testing purposes. 6 and 8 gb...... good. espacially for R4 owners. ups cyclods sorry

8GB microSDHC kort store more than 2.000 digital songs, or more than 5.000 pictures in high quality or up to 5 hours of MPEG 4 video in high quality.

R4 doesn't support SDHC - read above - CycloDS does at present
