Not getting into supercard menu (not booting automatically)

Hello, I hope I can make my story clear, thanks for your help anyway!

I've got a supercard lite (with the micro sd) in the gba-slot and a super key in the ds-slot.
My DS is a DS lite european version (I guess as I live there)
When I turn on the device I see "touch the screen to continue" and it doesn't go into the supercard menu.
It has always worked before and when it didn't I could just pull the cards out, wipe them and put them back in to recover and it would boot again. Now it just doesn't. At the main DS menu I can see: "There is no DS Card inserted" and "Start GBA game".
When I start the GBA game I can see the content of the micro sd but can't start anything. I tried to open up the gba-slot supercard and bow the connecters to the micro sd a bit so the contact is better, no result. What is the problem, gba-slot or the pass-key and what can I do?

Kind regards, Marv007

have you accidentally switched the boot slot one/ds game first option off in the ds options/settings before you insert any cards !?

Can you run GBA games? What happens when you hold A+B+X+Y when you power on your DS?  Try updating the firmware to 1.7 before you update to 1.8x.

I've been able to fix it. Just try another DS game first. Seems that the super key connecters aren't working that well. I'm off to vacation now, with my working card ;D

Thank you for your help!

If the Superkey is going kaput, you should consider flashing your system so you don't have to use it anymore.  Also try rubbing the contacts with an alcohol solution to clean them, which may be the problem.
