ive left my kirbys adventure gba game in my sp, for a while like a few weeks, and then one day i tried to play it and my saves were gone and it wouldnt save anymore... like the battery died in it. is this because i left it in the gameboy??? or what... if so, should i worry about doing that with the supercard??? cus i just realized i havent taken the supercard out of my DS since it got here.... no need to really u know... ive googled this but to no avail... i read about people having nintendo cartridges have the battery die, but nothing about gba games..

There are no ill effects to leaving a regular GBA cart or Supercard in your GBA SP.  The battery in your Kirby cart is probably defective.  Those batteries should last many years.

I have heard that leaving the Supercard in the DS while it is in standby mode for the alarm clock will cause the DS's battery to die quickly.
