Need Some Advice

Ok, I want an MP3 player but not necessarily a ipod. So do any of you guys know of a MP3 player with great sound that has anywhere from 20-60gb of space for a good price?

Well if you want 20GB to 60GB might as well get video support. In terms of that, I'd obviously first recommend the iPod Video because of its sleek design. But in terms of functionality, the Creative Zen Vision is quite a good choice too.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply. Also i want someting small, and the creative zen is bigger than the ipod so tahts a no go, but if it was same size i would have bought it.

ANy other choices?

There is no way your DS could have 20-60GB of storage. Well Creative has quite a few of those video players that are geared more towards video playback then music. I think one of them was pretty small.

there's a toshiba player (can't remember the name) that is essentially the same as the zune (microsoft contracted the same hardware for the zune), and pretty affordable on ebay.

It's a toshiba gigabit or something similar to that. Why are you not considering a creative zen Vision:M?

It's only around 270$ at most and if you wait a while they usually have rebates that take it down a bunch. Plus as pharoas said you get a lot more use out of the vision:m than you could ever get out of an ipod without atleast 100$ in extensions.
Unless your pockets are very miniscule you should consider this and the zune over the ipod or just get a nano because you have ipockets so that have to be tiny.

if you're not too concerned about getting the latest player, the Sony HD3 ticks most of your boxes.

i have one myself - good battery, sound, native mp3 support, slim and looks the part. the only thing wrong with it is the sonic stage software (sony's equilvalent of itunes, except doesn't work as well).

retailers don't stock it anymore but they go for around £50-£70 on ebay, some even new.
